Privacy Policy

OctoPaul Limited ("we", "us" or "our") operates LiteShort. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use our short-drama viewing, recommendations, rewards, coin conversion, PayPal withdrawals and support services, and the choices available to you. It also applies to guest accounts.

1. Information we handle

Depending on the features you use, device settings and applicable permissions or consent, we process:

Information may come from you, arise from use of the service, or be returned by payment and other providers. You may withhold information that is not necessary. If information needed for a feature is missing, we may be unable to provide it. Do not send us PayPal passwords or one-time codes.

2. How we use information

We use this information to:

Where applicable law permits, our grounds include performing a contract where necessary to provide the service you request, legal obligations, assessed legitimate interests or your consent. When consent is required, we will explain the purpose and choices and obtain valid consent.

3. Retention and deletion

We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide the service, fulfill the purposes in this policy or meet legal obligations. Retention depends on account and service status, purpose and sensitivity, your deletion requests, pending transactions, disputes and statutory requirements. Reward, withdrawal and security records may be kept longer for reconciliation, fraud prevention, disputes or legal obligations. When information is no longer needed and there is no lawful basis to keep it, we will delete it or make it no longer linkable to an identifiable person.

To request deletion of your account and associated personal information, email dev@octopaul.net with the subject "LiteShort Account Deletion". Describe your request and include your user identifier if available. If you do not have the identifier, contact us about other necessary verification methods. The contact is available in the app's privacy policy. You can email us after uninstalling, and you do not need to reach a withdrawal threshold to apply.

After necessary verification, we will process deletion within the applicable scope and require providers acting on our behalf to take corresponding action. Records that must lawfully be retained will be used only for necessary purposes, with restricted access. We will explain the retained categories, reasons and arrangements.

"Profile > Settings > Clear cache" clears history and favorites but retains the guest account, user identifier, coins and cash balance. It does not delete the entire account. Uninstalling the app or clearing local device data does not automatically request deletion of your account and associated personal information. Deleting a LiteShort account does not delete the PayPal account. Do not attach passwords, one-time codes or unrelated identity documents to your request.

4. Sharing information

We share necessary information only for the purposes in this policy and as permitted by applicable law. Recipients include:

Providers acting on our behalf must process information for agreed purposes and under appropriate confidentiality and security requirements. Institutions such as PayPal may apply their own privacy policies and independent legal obligations. We remain responsible for third-party components integrated into LiteShort and will limit the use and sharing of personal and sensitive user data under applicable law and Google Play rules.

If the service requires servers or providers outside your country or region to process information, we will meet applicable data protection and international-transfer requirements, using a valid transfer mechanism, appropriate safeguards or consent where required. Contact us about recipients, information categories, purposes, processing locations and safeguards.

5. Local storage and ad choices

We use local storage, caching and related technologies to maintain necessary language, playback or app state. Advertising partners may use the device, identifier and interaction information in Section 1 to provide and measure ads and prevent invalid traffic.

When personalized advertising or other processing requires consent, we will respect applicable law, system choices and platform rules. You can manage advertising identifiers or preferences through your device's advertising privacy controls, or email dev@octopaul.net to ask about, object to or withdraw consent to processing. Available controls vary by device and operating system. Changing advertising identifiers does not automatically delete account or transaction records.

Where Android runtime permissions, prominent disclosure or separate consent are required, we will provide the necessary notices and obtain the required consent or permission before accessing the corresponding data or starting that processing.

6. Security

We will take technical and organizational measures proportionate to the information and processing risks to protect against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss or misuse. We will protect data transmission and restrict unnecessary access as required by applicable law and platform rules.

No internet transmission or storage system guarantees absolute security. If a personal-information security incident occurs, we will take the response, remediation and notification measures required by applicable law.

7. Minors' privacy

We handle minors' personal information under the law applicable where the user is located. Valid parental or guardian consent must be obtained before processing where legally required. The relevant service rules and payment-provider requirements govern age and other eligibility conditions for rewards and withdrawals.

If you believe we received a minor's information without a lawful basis or necessary consent, contact dev@octopaul.net. We will investigate and take legally required measures, such as restricting processing, deleting information or other safeguards.

8. Policy updates

We may update this policy when features, partners or legal requirements change and will publish the revised version and updated date on this page. We will notify you of material changes affecting your rights through an in-app notice or another appropriate method. Processing that legally requires renewed consent will begin only after we obtain it.

9. Contact and your rights

Depending on applicable law where you are located, you may have rights to confirm whether we process your information, access it or obtain a copy, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, anonymization or restriction, obtain portability where applicable, object to processing, withdraw consent or request review of automated decisions affecting your rights. You may also complain to the data protection authority with jurisdiction.

To exercise rights, ask about retention or raise privacy questions, contact dev@octopaul.net. We may request reasonable and necessary information to verify identity or account ownership and will respond within applicable legal deadlines. If additional time is legally permitted and needed, we will explain why and what happens next. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing lawfully carried out before withdrawal.
